Today’s readings anticipate the Ascension. While the Book of Acts tells of the encounters of Church leaders and their need to agree on some rules for the good of all, the Gospel shows us Jesus offering the gift of peace to all his disciples. The peace we share as servants of the Lord invites us to dialogue with one another despite the differences we may encounter. If we are conscious of this gift from the Lord, we can face any difficulty. Easter is a mystagogic season in which we are all called to learn to grow and mature. Have we grown in prudence and patience? Do we contribute to promoting peace in our communities? How can we help others contribute to sharing the peace of the Lord?
